Diet and exercise can reduce chest fat, but gynecomastia is made of glandular breast tissue, and that tissue does not respond to cardio, weight training, or a cleaner diet. Surgery is the only way to remove it. This 38-year-old family doctor reached that conclusion through his own medical training, and his case shows why.
He is athletic and disciplined, yet he spent years feeling unhappy and insecure about his chest, assuming he could train or diet it away. His medical education eventually made it clear that glandular tissue does not shrink no matter how hard someone works out.
For this Type 3 gynecomastia case, Dr. Cruise chose a technique to fit the patient’s presentation. He made a small happy face incision along the bottom of each areola, a short curved cut that follows the natural lower edge of the areola and hides well as it heals. Through those incisions he removed the glandular tissue directly. He then used liposuction, which clears away excess fat through a thin tube, to treat the remaining fatty tissue and help the skin tighten. Liposuction of the abdomen and flanks was also performed so the flatter chest blends smoothly into the rest of the torso.
“It wasn’t until I became a physician that I realized gynecomastia couldn’t be fixed with diet and exercise. The only way to remove glandular tissue (gynecomastia) is to find the right surgeon and the right surgical technique to remove it. Knowing this, I did extensive research and found Dr. Cruise was among the top-rated surgeon for this procedure. After meeting and speaking with Dr. Cruise, I was confident that he was the surgeon for me. I knew that his surgical technique would remove the tissue with minimal scarring. I’m happy I went with Dr. Cruise. Having this procedure has changed my life– I finally have my confidence back. The biggest advice I can give to anyone else is to get it done right away, don’t wait.”
