Can I Get a Small Brazilian Butt Lift?

When most people think of a BBL, or Brazilian butt lift, they picture dramatic results and a “wow factor” hourglass shape. The Kardashians, Cardi B, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, come to mind. While this can be a beautiful look for some, not everyone desires the same result. This leaves many people wondering if it’s possible to subtly enhance their shape in a way that looks more natural than dramatic.

Dr. Cruise understands that every patient’s needs and preferences are different, even those who are interested in the same procedure. For this reason, your BBL can be customized to achieve the look you really want rather than offering a “one-size-fits-all” result.

What is a BBL?

A Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a fat transfer technique designed to create a sculpted hourglass shape by reducing fat from the waist, abdomen, back, or thighs and transferring it to the buttocks to create more volume and improve the shape. This means that liposuction is used to remove fat, which is then purified and injected into the buttocks. A BBL is an alternative to other options such as buttock implants which offers long-lasting results without risks such as implant rupture. A BBL also offers benefits like reduced cellulite and a slimmer waist.

Can I Get a Small BBL?

If you want to add volume, achieve a more lifted look, or create a rounder shape in your buttocks without the dramatic or “typical BBL” look, it is still possible to have the procedure. Dr. Cruise prioritizes each patient’s goals when performing their surgery. Your ideal results are taken into consideration during your consultation, meaning that Dr. Cruise will tailor your BBL to meet your desired goals. Less fat can be injected than the typical BBL procedure for subtler and more natural-looking results. Keep in mind that not all of the transferred fat will establish a blood supply and swelling is normal after your BBL, so your immediate results will be more dramatic than what you will see after healing is complete. In short, a “small BBL” or “mini BBL” is possible.

Am I a Good BBL Candidate?

The primary concern with BBL candidates is whether they have enough fat in donor sites to complete the procedure. Very thin or lean patients may not have enough body fat to transfer to the buttocks. When this is the case, other options like Sculptra injections or implants may be better for you. The amount of transferred fat ranges from 250 cc’s up to 800’s or more depending on the patient’s goals. During your consultation, Dr. Cruise will examine the treatment areas and determine whether you are a good candidate for a BBL. He will also review your health history to ensure that surgery is a safe option for you.
