Although we wish you could come stay with us in beautiful Orange County forever, we realize that we will have you for only a short period of time. With this in mind, we have put together, in elaborate detail, the required amount of time you will need to stay to safely and comfortably have your surgery and then return home.

We realize that there are many factors which must be taken into account when managing your travel schedule. Some patients wish to expedite the entire process so that they can return home as soon as possible, others choose to slow down and spend some time soaking up the sun of beautiful Southern California.

We will help you with these choices but first and foremost, we must discuss the minimum amount of time required to ensure you have a safe and comfortable visit. Please refer to the outline below for this information:

The time required indicates the minimum amount of days you will need to stay in Orange County after the surgery. This option is for those who wish to return home as quickly as possible.

The time recommended is the number of days Joseph T Cruise, MD would like you to stay after surgery if possible. This extra time is useful for those who want to take things a little slower during their recovery.

You may wish to add even more time before or after surgery to take advantage of what Orange County has to offer. Please keep in mind, the following table is merely a guide. Prior to making solid travel plans, please contact our office, and we will go over in detail the specifics of your procedure(s) during a phone consult. This consult will allow you to know early on what is necessary given your unique situation.

Please note, as with any surgical procedure, healing can be unpredictable. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to extend your stay.
