Chin Implant Anesthesia

Chin Implant Anesthesia

Chin implant surgery is normally performed under local anesthesia with or without sedation unless it is done concurrently with other procedures. When chin augmentation is performed under local anesthesia, this means you are given a sedative to relax, followed by a numbing anesthetic administered by injection into the chin area. Some patients fall asleep during the procedure, while others who remain awake can enjoy a movie of their choice. Our practice has perfected the surgical process under local anesthesia. This allows our patients to have the best experience possible.

Joseph T Cruise, MD uses only board certified anesthesiologists to make sure you have the best anesthesia possible. The anesthesiologist will discuss with you what type of anesthesia is best for you. He/she will take into consideration your medical history, the procedure, and your personal wishes.
